Scarcity by Design
Limited runs, no routine restocks, and no endless catalogue churn. When a release is finished, it stays finished.
PoundTown is a South African jewellery brand creating limited-run artefacts with weight, meaning, and proof.
PoundTown exists for people who want more than decoration.
We make jewellery shaped by mythology, cinema, rebellion, pop culture, and the symbols that stay with us long after trends burn out. These are not throwaway accessories built to fill a feed for a week and disappear into a drawer. They are designed as objects with presence, identity, and intent.
Too much jewellery sits at one of two extremes: empty luxury language on one side, disposable trend product on the other. PoundTown was built as a refusal of both. We are not interested in generic polish, fake heritage theatre, or mass-produced sameness dressed up as significance. We are here to make pieces worth keeping.
The work begins in-house through concept, reference, sketch, and 3D design. That is where the form is resolved, the symbolism is sharpened, and the standards are set. From there, the piece moves through trusted specialist jewellers and production partners who help bring it properly into metal through processes such as casting and finishing. We care less about performance and more about getting the piece right.
This is a modern craft model: design-led, systems-minded, materially serious, and honest about how good work gets made. We use the right tools, the right processes, and the right people at the right stage. No fake workshop mythology. No inflated nonsense. Just deliberate objects built properly.
Every PoundTown piece is part of a controlled release. Small runs are not a gimmick here; they are part of the philosophy. Scarcity should mean something. When a run closes, it closes.
Each piece is also backed by a digital Certificate of Authenticity, creating a record of origin that matches the intent behind the object itself. Provenance matters when the work is built to last. The story matters. So does the proof.
Three rules sit underneath the object: deliberate scarcity, controlled design, and clear provenance.
Limited runs, no routine restocks, and no endless catalogue churn. When a release is finished, it stays finished.
PoundTown owns the concept, design direction, and digital refinement. Trusted specialist jewellers handle casting and key finishing stages where the work demands it.
A digital Certificate of Authenticity supports provenance, traceability, and verification without turning the piece into tech theatre.
Founder / Creative Director
PoundTown was built from a simple frustration: too many objects are made to be sold, not kept.
The brand sits where symbolism, design, systems, and material craft meet. The work starts with story and form, gets refined digitally, and is then brought into metal through trusted specialist production and finishing. That process is deliberate. Honest. Controlled.
I am less interested in pretending every stage happens under one roof than I am in making sure the end result has weight, integrity, and meaning. PoundTown is design-led from the start. The concepts, direction, standards, and final intent are authored in-house. The specialists involved help make the work real.
This brand was never meant to be filler. It was built to create pieces with presence, permanence, and proof.
