Jewellery FAQ
1. What materials are your jewellery pieces made from?
Our pieces are predominantly crafted from high-quality sterling silver, with some exclusive pieces made from 9ct yellow gold. We source our materials with great care to ensure durability and longevity.
2. Can I get a piece in a material other than what's listed?
Currently, we offer our designs in sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold. We are always open to custom requests, however, material changes would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for feasibility and cost.
3. Can your rings be resized?
We strongly advise against resizing our rings. Our pieces are intricately crafted and resizing could compromise the design and structure of the piece. We recommend making sure of your ring size before making a purchase to avoid any need for resizing.
4. What if I don't know my ring size?
We suggest visiting a local jeweler or jewellery store to have your finger measured accurately. This service is usually free and is the most reliable way to get your correct ring size.
5. Are rings available in all sizes?
Our rings are available in a range of common sizes. However, we understand that everyone's size is unique. If you have a specific size request outside our usual range, please contact us and we'll see if we can accommodate you.
6. How should I care for my jewellery?
Sterling silver and gold should be stored in a cool, dry place, preferably in a soft pouch or a jewelry box. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth can help maintain its shine. Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, bathing, or during activities that may cause it to get scratched or damaged.
7. Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?
Sterling silver and gold are usually safe for people with sensitive skin. However, if you know you have an allergy to certain metals, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before purchasing.
8. Why is my silver turning black?
The blackening of silver is a natural process known as tarnishing. Silver reacts with sulfur compounds present in the air, on our skin, or in certain foods or products, forming a thin layer of silver sulfide on its surface, which appears black.
Tarnishing doesn't mean your silver is of poor quality; it's a characteristic of sterling silver and can happen even with high-quality pieces.
To prevent and remove tarnish, keep your silver jewelry clean and dry and avoid exposing it to chemicals such as those found in cosmetics, perfumes, or household cleaning products. You can clean tarnished silver jewelry with a special silver cleaning cloth or a cleaning solution designed for silver. If tarnishing is severe or the piece is intricately designed, you might want to consider professional cleaning.
9. Can I clean my jewellery with toothpaste?
While toothpaste is often cited as a handy household item for cleaning jewellery, we do not recommend using it on your silver or gold pieces. Toothpaste can be abrasive, and if used repeatedly over time, can scratch the surface of your jewellery, causing it to lose its shine.
For regular cleaning, it's best to use a soft, lint-free cloth. If your jewelry needs a deeper clean, consider using a mild soap and warm water solution, then dry thoroughly. For heavy tarnish or dirt, it's usually best to take your pieces to a professional jeweler for cleaning. They will have the right tools and solutions to clean without damaging the piece.
Remember to avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals, such as chlorine, bleach, vinegar, or baking soda, as these can damage the metal and gemstones.
Always take off your jewellery when doing tasks like cleaning, swimming, or bathing to keep it in the best possible condition.
10. Do you offer gift wrapping services?
Yes, we are pleased to offer gift wrapping services for our customers. If you'd like your order to be gift-wrapped, simply select the gift wrapping option at checkout. We offer tasteful and elegant packaging that complements the quality of our pieces, making your purchase ready for gifting.
Please note that an additional fee may apply for this service. If you have any special requests or need more information about our gift wrapping services, please don't hesitate to contact us
